BLM conducted landowner meetings for the Project in four different communities along the proposed route alternatives (Baker City, Durkee, Brogan and North Powder) to update landowners about the status of the project prior to publicly announcing these alternatives. Letters were mailed to notify landowners of these meetings. Holly Orr, BLM Project Manager, provided a brief presentation about the project status, alternatives, and next steps, and answered questions.
BLM, Idaho Power and ODOE hosted open houses for the B2H Project in August 2012. These meetings allowed the public to learn about alternatives being considered, next steps for the federal and state review processes, upcoming documents for public review, and future public comment opportunities.
Meeting attendees were able to ask agency and Idaho Power staff and consultants about the project, review maps, and provide written comments.
