Idaho Power has submitted applications to the Bureau of Land Management (BLM), U.S. Forest Service (USFS), U.S. Department of Navy and the Bureau of Reclamation to obtain authorization for B2H to cross the lands they manage. These agencies are obligated to review and make decisions on Idaho Power’s applications.
BLM issued their Record of Decision (ROD) in November 2017 and granted a right-of-way to Idaho Power Company for the construction, operation, and maintenance of B2H on BLM-administered land.
USFS released its ROD on Nov. 9, 2018, approving the issuance of a special-use authorization to Idaho Power for B2H across National Forest System (NFS) lands administered by the Wallowa-Whitman National Forest.
The U.S. Department of Navy’s released its ROD on October 2, 2019, allowing for an easement for Idaho Power to construct, operate, and maintain B2H on Navy-administered land.
